This Privacy Policy is provided by Delphia Research Inc. and its affiliates (“Delphia," "we," "us," or "our") and sets out:

  • What kind of personal data we may collect from you when you visit our website at thebackchannel.xyz or use our mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”);

  • How and why we collect and use your personal data;

  • Why we may disclose personal data within Delphia and with other organizations; and

  • The rights and choices you have when it comes to your personal data.

This Policy applies to personal data collected from individuals who browse, use, and otherwise engage with the Platform and participate in surveys.

  • Activity, such as the content you create, the types of content you view or interact with and how you interact with it, metadata about your content, the features you use and how you use them, the hashtags you use, and the time, frequency, and duration of your activities;

  • Connections, such as followers, other individuals and communities you’re connected to and interact with and information about third-party services and individuals you may interact with; and

  • Information From Third-Party Services and Users, such as information about the third-party services and users who interact with our Platform and, if you interact with the Platform through a third-party service, we may collect information about your third-party account and profile (such as your username, profile picture, IP address, and the name of the third-party service on which you are registered), your content (such as when you allow users to follow, interact with, reshare, or have mentions in your posts), and your interactions (such as when you follow, interact with, reshare, or have mentions in posts).

This data may be combined and linked with data from other sources. Please note that we or third parties may collect personal data about your online activities over time and across different devices and online properties when you engage with the Platform.   1. How We Use Personal Data

The ways in which we use your personal data vary depending on your relationship with us and the ways in which you engage with us and/or the Platform. For example, we may use your personal data for:

  • Account Registration, including creating an account, providing account functionalities, and managing your account information;

We also may share your personal data if you direct us to share the information or otherwise consent to the sharing.

  1. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons (or pixel tags or clear GIFs), tracking scripts, and other types of tracking technologies (collectively “Cookies”) on our Platform to collect and analyze information about individuals’ interactions with the Platform. The Cookies we use are placed by us or by our vendors. We (and our vendors) may link the information collected by Cookies to other information collected about you.

Cookies may carry out various functions; for example, they may store information to help our Platform function properly; recognize your device when you visit our Platform again; and help us understand your use of our Platform over time. We may use Cookies to: enhance your experience on our Platform by improving navigation speed; recognize your preferences, so that you do not need to enter the information each time you visit our Platform; customize your browsing experience on our Platform by showing you information more likely to be relevant to you; learn about your visit to our Platform, for example, by collecting information about which pages on our Platform you viewed or links you clicked and how you interacted with our content during your visit or over multiple visits; or deliver advertisements, customize advertisements, and track advertising campaign efficiency.

We may offer third-party integrations on our Platform. If you choose to connect a third-party account to our system, you should refer to that party’s privacy policy for information on how your personal data is collected, used, and protected.

We may contract with service providers to help us analyze activity on our websites, our chat functionality, and mobile apps as applicable, through session replay technologies to help us understand and analyze how individuals use our services, and to improve the services. These technologies may collect the following types of information, among others: IP address; screen size; device type (unique device identifiers); browser information; geographic location; and preferred language.

We are not responsible for opt-out processes provided by external parties.

You may also opt out of certain tracking technologies by visiting the opt out services by the Digital Advertising Alliance. You can also visit Ad Choices (US). Opting out through these services does not mean you will no longer receive advertising from us, or when you use the Internet.

Depending on your device settings, you may also opt out of certain interest-based advertising through your device’s "Limit Ad Tracking" or equivalent feature. Refer to your device for more information on this opt-out functionality. You may be able to adjust or reset the advertising identifiers on your mobile device in the device settings.

You can set your browser to refuse Cookies, but if you do so, you may not be able to access or use portions of our Platform, and certain offerings on our Platform may not function as intended.

Email Marketing. We may use your personal data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials, and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us. We may use email marketing service providers to manage and send emails to you.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. Please note that because transmission via the Internet and online digital storage is not completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of any information we may have collected from or about you through our websites.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for, nor targeted to, children under 17, and we do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 17. If we become aware that an individual submitting information is under 17, we will delete the information in accordance with applicable law.

Our Platform may from time to time contain links to and from other websites. If you follow a link to any of those websites, please note that those websites should have their own privacy notices and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those websites. Please check those privacy notices before you submit your information to those websites.
